Look at those people with whom you interact, out in the world. Look at them and remember: all are but human. From the beggar in the gutter to the king in his palace, all are but human.
To be human can be a source of awesome creation. From humankind has come Shakespeare, Einstein, Aristotle, Rodin, Mozart, and all the luminaries throughout our existence.
For the most part, though, to be human is cause for pity. Disease and famine ravaging whole continents. Human greed and hatred for other human beings leading to totalitarian regimes where the vast potential of human life is consumed and destroyed in the machine of the State, or simply spilt upon the ground out of fear.
All are but human. Only in these can you come to understand how to glorify, fear and pity a thing, all in the same moment.
