Did anyone hear about that shoot out in Paranaque?
link here Some of the robbers were killed at the 6 way intersection at the Sucat interchange, causing traffic all the way to Makati till who knows what time. The congestion had the three lane Sucat road to bottle neck by the accident into one lane at that intersection.
There were a lot of usosero standing around trying to see what was going on, two dead bodies at the exit of the west service road (from Bicutan) or in front of that old Jollibee (for those who don't know, it's been closed for a few months now). They were out there for everyone to see, while the police investigated.
Stupid me, should have been paying better attention to my driving than the dead bodies, so while inching forward (it was bumper to bumper after all) I hit another car. Bleh.
Police made us move, since we were at the bottle neck saying there wasn't any damage. When I went to inspect later on, there was barely any damage to the other car. Anyway, long story short the woman driving was making a fuss, so my dad arrives shortly right when I finally got her to start talking to me. My sis suspects her asking the police guy (who was dragged away from the crime scene) about the dead bodies slapped some sense into the woman.
My dad had to walk near the crime scene, and he said there were two bodies (I only saw one) and that there were people taking crime scene photos... like a scene from CSI.
I found it strange that I wasn't shocked or traumatized to see the dead body, unlike my sister and her friend who yelled out (which was what actually caused me to turn my head) when they saw it. I don't really know what to make of it, I mean sure these weren't disturbingly um... arranged or anything, they were just lying there like a man suddenly decided he wanted to nap in the middle of the road. But, you know he was dead.
It makes me wonder how desensitized media and our environment has made most of us.
