peeks of joy…
Some time last week, I had the chance to drop by the
Lion Befrienders Service Association to photograph the elderly there as part of a charity photo shoot for them.
There happened to be a group of secondary school students fulfilling their CIP (Community Involvement Program) hours there, spending time with the old folks. Most of them couldn’t be bothered, to be honest - they were sitting around chatting amongst themselves instead of interacting with the elderly and spending time with them.
But whatever - there were some who genuinely made the effort and that made me smile.
This nice old man joined a table of kids playing a game, and he looked so genuinely happy that afternoon when I was there. His smile was radiant and he kept laughing
Seeing him so happy reminded me that sometimes, we really do have enough to be thankful for, especially the little things in our lives.
