funny how you find you enjoy your life when you're happy to be alive.
I started this meme about a year ago, but I never finished it -- so I'll do it again. :3
I'm putting this on public, because I figure everyone who stumbles across my LJ should be inspired to do it and focus on the good in their life. :3
The rules are that for 8 days you have to post something that made you happy that day. Tag 8 people to do the same.
Day One - 092009
I tried on my old junior prom dress and was delighted to see that it fits even better than before. :3
i was not so happy, however, to remember that i don't have an excuse to wear it again. lame.
Day Two - 092109
I won five bucks from Kevin for beating him on the Psychology test. Struck up another bet with him, Darleney, and Manny Fresh for the next one. :3
Day Three - 092209
1) My conversation with Darleney and Laurie about an age-accelerating machine. I was going to write about the various uses of the machine that we came up with, but now they're sounding kind of creepy. And vaguely immoral and unethical. >>;
2) The stake-out that Laurie, Danly, and I had in Laurie's car, and the various conversations that ensued about pliers, perfect people, and clashing shorts and socks.
3) Playing hide-and-seek in the library with Danly and Kyle. Except the second time around, when it was my turn to hide, nobody tried to find me. Messed. XD
4) Owning in English just for knowing Tolstoy's first name. Easiest. Brownie Points. Ever.
5) Realizing that I don't need to pay Laurie, Rica, or Kellie the $100 that I promised them upon the success of the tasks I set for them ---- because they won't be having any success! >:D
still can't believe i agreed to $100, though. i'm obviously an idiot. and also on my way to becoming a compulsive gambler. D;
Day Four - 092309
1) Two words --- cute. guy. And more importantly, cute guy who knows my name.
2) Oh, I spent less than five bucks today, whaaaat. Yeah, I actually was able to resist buying candy to satisfy my sweet tooth. ...the fact that the book store was closed and that i wouldn't have been able to buy it anyway had nothing to do with it. of course not. and it's not like i ran from the lecture hall to the bookstore to buy myself some chocolate with five minutes to go before class only to find that the bookstore was closed. no, because that would be really sad. >>;
3) I think my famed orange beanie is magic. You know the one -- the one my lola made? The hat that Manuel dubbed the "easy button" because of its distinctive red-orange color? Yeah, it's magic. :3
And it smells good, too, so that's another plus! :D
Day Five - 092409
1) My first class of the day was canceled, so I didn't have to go into school so early. I also got to sleep for another hour! :D
2) Kinda sorta figured out where I'm going with my paper.
3) My glasses are awesome because I don't always have to wear them. They're more of an accessory than they are a necessity. Wore them just to complete my outfit. ;D
Day Six - 092509
1) I bought my tickets for the WTK concert tomorrow. :3
2) Was able to catch up with Kristina from my Japanese II class in junior year. We had a very entertaining chat. ;D
3) Realized that I don't need another prom to have an excuse to wear a dress --- I just need to marry some rich guy who needs an escort to fancy dinner parties -- and who can pay for the dresses. $__$
4) Was also able to catch up with Lerissa when Lena and I dropped by ColdStone. That girl, I knew there was a reason I missed talking to her. ;D
5) On the way home, my iPod started playing So What by Pink, and I sang along. 'nuff said, bitch. ;D
6) Also, my handwriting is awesome.
Day Seven - 092609
1) There are only two circumstances under which you'll find me screaming like a maniac.
- one, if I'm at a sports game. I get very worked up. D;
- two, if I'm at a concert. ...like the one I just got home from, WE THE KINGS WHAT!!! Darleney, Jessica, Dianne, and I screamed the songs rather than sang the songs -- so much so that the guys in front of us kept swiveling their heads around to see what was wrong with us. And when the band took off their shirts? Oh, I think I've permanently damaged my voice. ;D
2) Oh, and screaming, "Have my babies!" at the band because Darleney told me to. Ahahaha. ;D

1) I finally started actually writing my 8-page paper due on Thursday. ...I only have two paragraphs, and I've yet to really get to talking about anything important, but hey, I started! :D
2) I bought jeans today. ...actually, scratch that, my sister bought them for me, because I have no money. Sometimes there's a bright side to having no money. In my family, at least. :P
3) And um. Yeah. Ya know? :3
And there you have it. Eight days of looking on the bright side. Do it for yourself. ;3
