some news to report today.
1. HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY MY DARLING JACQLALA! *throws confetti* :D :D :D sorry i couldn't make you a graphic, i'm too groggy at this hour :( plus the last set of photos we have together are on my desktop. sorry kayyy. i'll drive you around when you come back :) <3
2. rehauled mah
userinfo majorly.
3. WC group qualifier draw results!
ASIA: Group 4 - Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Singapore
EUROPE: Group 5 - Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Armenia, Estonia
well, i think both my teams stand a relatively good chance of making it to the next stage! :D Singapore only has Saudi Arabia to contend with imo, but you never know. Spain's group doesn't look too difficult, though Turkey is pretty good.
i'm sure we all know by now that England is stuck with Croatia and Andorra again, rotflmao.
from the video broadcast about South Africa, i think it looks like a really nice place to visit! of course, there's the added bonus of free accomodation which i'm sure Lisa will provide. :D i'll sleep in her bathtub if i have to. but i'm really sure i want to go to WC'10. :)
was supposed to wake up at 7am today to attend Lai's baptism and instead woke up GROSSLY late at 7.43am, then ran around the house seriously panicking like crazy. i managed to get myself out of the house by 8am so me ftw! Lai's mom came to pick me up so i didn't have to worry about transport. it was the first time i've attended a church service in my life, actually. we listened to some speeches and they sang some hymns. i didn't because i only know 1 hymn and they didn't choose that piece. >_> Chello popped up halfway through the service to "surprise" Lai. lol. throughout the service i was reminded of the chapel sessions we had every monday morning in ac. though i'm not a christian, i kinda miss having chapel. i guess i got used to it - the cool band that played songs, us sleepyheads being forced to stand up and clap along, me eventually learning some of the songs and remembering how to sing them, and trying to stay awake during the speeches after (i usually failed). and now the hymn we sing on special occasions in ac is playing in my head.
Be Thou my vision
Oh Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me
Save that Thou art
Thou my best friend, by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
i don't know if i got the lyrics right. according to Lai's church hymn book, it's an ancient Irish hymn. *ponders*
anyway, Lai and her sis got baptised along with 2 elderly ladies. it was a very interesting experience. :)
exams officially begin in 1.5 days. argh. (and yes, i know United lost to Bolton and it's all Gerard's fault. yes, yes i know. the rest of the world, please stop gloating.)
Happy Birthday, Antonio. you are always in our hearts.
