Rhoda Morgenstern is my hero

So my neighbor’s wireless started working out of the blue, so I actually have time for a real life update! Hooray for having time, hooray for having wireless, and hooray for suporior hacking skills! Suporior? Yeah- no. Superior. There we go, much better. Thank you fingers.
I’m still on the apartment search, but that’s not till later in the afternoon. I’ve spent most of my morning pottering about the house and doing some packing/cleaning. I keep finding cool stuff that I had no idea existed in the house. It’s not Tom’s, so it must be Annie’s- aka- now mine. Hooray for cool stuff!
What’s with my obsession with “hooray” today? I guess I’m just in a good mood. I’m really glad I’m not going to Tampa. There really wasn’t much for me there and it felt too much like Kansas. When walking up the parking lot at the local walmart, I managed to pass 4 trucks with the stupid rubber testicles hanging off the back, and one even had a penis attached to it- I knew at that moment it was most likely a no go. Tom’s new girlfriend is very nice and we get along just fine. Perhaps it’s just the chemistry between the two of them together. Thinking about living with them gives me a slight stomach ache. And the whole 3 people sharing a bathroom thing… Let’s just say I like my space. I no longer feel I’m such a huge part of his life anymore and I need to get on with mine. Living with him served it’s purpose from both sides and he and I are now ready to take on the world again.
Anastasia and I are almost done setting up the lists of who’s getting what furniture, and “honestly how many coffee machines do two girls need?” kind of things. I’ve seen a few places, but I haven’t fallen in love with one yet. I still have some time, and the open house for this weekend was set back a week, giving everyone a little more time to get things together.
I suddenly feel the urge to sing the Mary Tyler Moore Show theme song. “She’s gonna make it after all!”
..I wonder if we can get a crazed 70’s chic hippie like Rhoda as a downstairs neighbor? I’ve always wanted that…
