It was past midnight and Ryo was the only one left in their dressing room. Usually, he's the first one to fly out of the building once rehearsals has ended but he forgot his music sheets on his desk and came back for it.
KAT-TUN celebrated Nakamaru's birthday at a nearby club and had a few round of drinks. Though Ueda wants to go home and have his much deserved sleep after work, his band mates dragged him out of his car and took him with them. Once in the club, Jin ordered 6 bottles of beer. Ueda wanted to change his drink but they won't let him. They said it was a beer drinking party and there were no exceptions. With that being said, he just drank whatever it was that was given to him. After a few more bottles, it was clear that some of his friends were drunk. He himself was feeling a little dizzy though he only drank two bottles. Finally, Nakamaru said that it was enough and that they should all head home to take a rest.
Ueda stood up and slighly lost his balance. Fortunately, Koki was there to support him.
"Are you okay, Uepi?" Koki asked
"I'm fine Koki. Just a little dizzy from the alcohol but I can manage." Ueda replied
"You sure?" Koki asked with a concerned look.
"I'm sure."
"Want me to go with you to the building? You still need to get your bags and car right?"
"I'm fine Koki. Go and help Nakamaru and Kame in taking Jin and Junno home. I'm sure Jin's mom would be asking a lot of questions on why he's son is throwing up and Rena is sure to kill Junno if he can't give an excuse for coming home late." Ueda said
Koki followed Ueda's advice and helped their other friends.
Ueda made his way to the building. He felt light inside. It was as if he was walking on air. He hummed a happy tune and skipped his way inside the building.
Ryo was on his way out when he heard the elevator open and someone humming. He got his bag and peeked outside their dressing room to see who was coming. He saw Ueda walking wobbly towards KAT-TUN's dressing room which was right next to NEWS'. Ryo was wondering why Ueda was there at this hour and it seemed that the other was bouncy at the moment.
"Ryo-chan!" Ueda waved happily and smiled at him.
Ryo who was standing by NEWS' dressing room door was a little surprised and straightend himself.
"What's up with you Ueda? Why are you calling me Ryo-chan now?" Ryo asked. Ueda was giggling to himself.
"Eh? Hey! What's so funny?" Ryo askes. He was somehow being annoyed that Ueda was giggling like a child.
"That's cause you're funny. the nickname Ryo-chan suits you well. You're such a child Ryo-chan. Chibi-chibi adorable Ryo-chan." Ueda said and was still giggling.
"Are you sick? Wait, you're drunk aren't you?" Ryo said. He had an irritated look on his face
"Eh? drunk? Maybe. Don't look at me like that Ryo-chan. You look like an old man. I like it when you smile. You look huggable." Ueda said
Ryo was surprised at what Ueda said. It was clear that Ueda was drunk and he doesn't have an idea what to do with the other man. He tried to think of something but was interrupted when Ueda tripped on something and was falling into him. Ryo caught him and helped him stand up. When Ueda regained his balance, Ryo fixed his clothes and straightened himself. Ueda started to giggle again.
"What's funny now?" Ryo asked.
"Ryo-chaaaaan~ You grew taller." Ueda said and laughed like a child.
"Eh?" Ryo had a confused look and waited for Ueda to explain more.
"Before, you were only up to my shoulders..."
"and now?"
"....and now, you're in my mind. I can see you each and every time and I can't seem to get you out of it." Ueda said. His giggling stopped but he was smiling at Ryo.
Ryo blushed at what Ueda said.
"Well, just forget what I said Ryo-chan. I'll--"
" I think you became shorter Tatsuya." Ryo suddenly said.
It was as if Ueda was poured with ice cold water when he heard Ryo call him Tatsuya. The other usually called him princess or fish lips or gackt wanna be. This was the first time Ryo called him Tatsuya.
"Before, you too were on my mind but now, you're way below. You're already in my heart."
Ueda smiled when he heard this and hugged Ryo as if he was never to let go.
A/NII: how was it? did i fail in writing fluff? comment please! it's mandatory and btw, i might write another fic tomorrow. LOL. that is if i finish all my school works *cross fingers*
