The Sabres kicked ASS on their season opener last night. Oy. And I was so nervous, because we were playing the Isles, and we lost the last opener to them 6-0 last season. HOCKEY IS FINALLY BACK BABY. I know this, because my voice is hoarse and my nails are chewed on.
Also, since the game ran from 7 pm until after 9:30, I had to record Lost...well, I was sort of nervous about this because I did not get the DVR setup with DishNetwork that we had installed last week. See, we cancelled digital cable because they were not carrying Center Ice, and just kept the high speed internet. When we had it shut off, they were like, blah blah blah, we will come out and install a trap so you don't get free cable through the internet line and I was like OK whateva. So, a guy came out a few days ago to do that, and since my cable still ran through my computer before that, I was able to record stuff. I hadn't even checked it since he left, but yesterday afternoon on a whim, I opened Media Center and LO! I still have 62 channels of cable running through my computer.
I wonder whose lines they keep shutting off. :|
Thanks to bookshop, I really, really want to change my LJ name. I had found a bunch of names I wanted when they did the purging...but just have not wanted to spend the $15 on getting a new one. But all her posts starting to push me over the edge! *shakes fist at bank account* I need paid time and a new name, dammit! I pick up my last paycheck from my old job today, so maybe I will treat myself to a late birthday present (or two).
And speaking of jobs, I have my last interview today with...BEST BUY. Oh I rule, you all wish you could work in menial retail jobs such as I do. Hey, I get a good discount, and they need people to work days, so. The only bad thing is that my whole paycheck would probably be spent there before I even had a chance to get the money out the door. Anyway, wish me luck!
