I'm in a better mood today, thank you. And much more physically satiated.

Just a random observation... why is there discrimination among accents (i.e. those in spoken language)? Ever notice that there are "good" accents and "bad" accents? The bad accents are obvious... Chinese, Filipino, etc. -- in other words, the "FOB" accents. Then there's also the Indian accent that is made fun of. Come to think of it, all of the above happen to be Asian. Hmm.
Then there's the "good" accents, aka the ones that are embraced by American culture. These include Australian, British, and Jamaican accents. Maybe even native African accents?
Why the disparity? Why is it "cool" to have a Jamaican accent (evidence: Sean Paul), but when you have an Asian accent, you are ridiculed? Why? I don't have an answer... I don't think anyone does. That's society for you. Just something to think about, I suppose.

I just got an invitation to a close friend's baby shower. My oh my... I feel so old. And I'm not even 22 yet (though I will be in a few weeks). I never expected her to become pregnant at such a young age, but to be honest, I'm so desensitized to young pregnancies that it doesn't even faze me anymore. For real, I can't even count on my fingers anymore the number of people from high school who are either currently pregnant or already have babies.
Not that having babies now is particularly bad... I'm sure they are happy parents and such. But is it so wrong to want to be invited to a wedding first, before a baby shower, christening, 1st birthday party? I still haven't been to a wedding... someone plan a wedding and invite me, dammit!

It was sad seeing smiley George Huff go. But it was his time. The BF keeps hating on my cousin, Jasmine Trias. Yes, we are related... maybe not 1st cousins but we're related somewhere down the line. Stop hating on my 4th/5th/20th cousin! =P
But even I know she's gonna be gone next week.
