day 4. a photo of the last place you went on holiday
This stage is located at The Social in Orlando, Florida. It's a bar/venue where a lot of famous bands perform. It's also the last place I went on 'vacation'. I went to a conference in Florida for TWLOHA and it was located at The Social. Yes. A bar. Go figure.
The man is Damion Suomi. This man was the most memorable part of that weekend. His father had died about a week prior to this event. And his father was his best friend. He was set to perform for Heavy and Light and the Heavy and Light Pre-show and he could've bailed to mourn. But instead, he celebrated his father's life by performing. Both nights that I saw him perform, I cried. It was the most beautiful, emotional, cathartic concert experience I ever had. I'll never forget him.

This is my friend Gabby, my friend/cousin Maggie, and me. We got together one night this summer and they said, "Let's bake cupcakes for your mom." That's friendship. Funny story about Maggie, I was friends with her LONG before I knew that we were related. We were on vacation one year together and her mother was talking about something. I have no idea what. But she ended her story with, "My OTHER claim to fame is that I'm related to the creator of the Flinstones." And I look at her and go, "GET OUT." Because he was my great-grandfather.
So that summer, after all the times we went, "This is crazy. We HAVE to be related...", we found out that we actually are.

This is my friend Kelly and me. We went to the diner one night and a little bit before that, she had broken her hand. So we're sitting there and there's a silence and I hear, "...Lauren? I can't cut my sausage." So I literally had to cut up her food for her. It still makes me laugh thinking about it.
