I'm feeling exceedingly shallow right now...perhaps it's because I'm in Southern California. Today I went to Olvera Street (home of El Pueblo de Los Angeles), then we drove through West Hollywood and Beverly Hills to Santa Monica pier

If it makes you feel better, it was pouring rain except for my first 24 hours there.

I was also told by several distant relatives of mine that they'd never heard of UVA and that I should have stayed at Duke if I wanted to go to a decent school. I then proceeded to insult them by saying that east coasters, when they heard USC (where a lot of my family went), thought of the University of South Carolina. Take that bitches.

I think some shallowness is in order. Luke and I were talking about going out again post-New Years. One of us will be sure to contact you.

I thought that was what you referring to...but it seemed so outlandish to me that I assumed I was missing something.

Nick is going to LA for his spring break...if Stanford's is at the same time as UVA's, you should go too!
