I think I desperately need to better myself at this whole eljay commenting thing and posting regularly business, so so so--! *practices*
1. In accordance with the last post re: online libraries, check out Scribd. The database is kind of messy--it takes a lot to sort through everything to find something particular of interest or value--but it looks promising. I found a .pdf of John Grisham's Skipping Christmas there, so I'm looking forward to reading it and scouring the website for more e-books. ♥ If anyone has any other info toward online libraries, I'm still taking links so feel free to share them. Hint, hint.
Also, as per tarigwaemir's suggestion, I joined Goodreads. It keeps everything extremely organized. ♥ If you have one, add me! If you don't, join and then add me. Oh, and read more. That too. XD; (Though there are a few of you on my flist who I think read exorbitantly. @_@;) My profile is here. I'll still be updating twelve with batch book reviews, however, as well as that fugly progress meter. :P
2. Was browsing Eljay feeds yesterday (I kind of want to kill them for making the directory so limited a feature for those of us too poor to afford paid account status) and along with gutenbergupdate for Project Gutenberg, I found something else notable: leonardonotes. Some of you on my flist should be interested in this. What's surprising (besides the feed's rather low number of readers) is that these aren't Da Vinci's analyses of cadavers or sketches of Vitruvian Man and so on or even his observations of flight mechanics--this is his writing. XO
Give it a go. And then explain to my uncultivated self where the hell he's getting at with these notes.
3. Those of you new on my flist--by which I mean if I friended you any time earlier this year XD;--and who love GAY PORN--really, too few of you have knowledge of bb_shousetsu's existence. And you call yourselves fans of teh ghei! Tsk. Basically what it is is a webzine of extremely well-written original BL one-shots. There's a new issue out! And it features some of my favorite authors, I can't wait to read it. ♥ There was also a Summer Special issue out just one post back featuring F/F stories, so be sure to check that out too~
While you're at it, imaginarybeasts. Original short stories, but (gay) porn optional. :)
