ATTN FLIST: The Getty is
showing Rubens and Brueghel. I'm going but I need to wisely pick a date so as to strategically avoid crashing into fellow students and/or teachers from my old art history class. D: PAINSTAKING.
team7 posts a challenge I can actually do! Yay.
The Anti-OTP Challenge. Ahahaha, have already picked my poison: Mayama/Rika. I mean, I COULD just do Nomiya/Ayu, but even I am not that masochistic. Christ. (Anyway, I've already written half a paragraph. My doom is spelled out!! Etc.) Will post some thoughts on the new Honey and Clover season soon enough, but for now I'm slightly rushed.
Also, I managed to watch Donnie Darko today. Admittedly, I WAS thinking of Angel Sanctuary the whole time, specifically with regards to Metatron's plush rabbit. XDXD I wonder if there's some actual biblical grounds for the connection between rabbits and satan? Though this is the first time I've seen it outside of the manga. It was really interesting, though!! How the rabbit comes alive, how it has a voice, how it coaxes someone to do evil. But Donnie is definitely no Metatron. <3! Back when I first read AS, I remember having liked his twin Sandalphon too~ Maybe I'll talk more about this later.
Oh, that reminds me: pimping
fan_extension. Now that I think about, maybe someone could facilitate a discussion of sorts involving the use of biblical themes/Christian mythology and how they appear differently and from Yuki Kaori's perspective in the infamous epic Angel Sanctuary. XD That would be hot. She's the one who's inspired a liking for Christian mythology in me as it is, so. (I mean, I'd do the course myself, but I have very little substantial knowledge of the Bible and it would actually require me brushing up, so NO.)
