Back a half hour ago from The Dark Knight viewing. I would have gone later--I usually like going to the theater at least two weeks after a movie has released, so as to avoid the annoying old fogies in back of me who laugh at every little thing even though it's not funny--but my mom forced my sister and me out of the house in a poorly disguised attempt at getting us to reconcile our differences. I have only two things I'll (willingly) say about the movie, both of which are, IMO, spoiler-free: 1.) that mayor dude wore a lot of eyeliner, and 2.) I liked the first one better. (Though not necessarily in that order.)
As it happens with sequels, they are usually quite bad. The first one was more cohesive; I like its villain better.
...Watching Christian Bale made me realize I have a type. I go for brunettes. The movie theater we went to is a newly constructed one in our local mall not two miles away from our house; the movie theater was situated next to a lounge/bar, and there were a lot of SWF attendees tonight. I saw one mousy haired girl of elfin stature wearing a cardigan.
It's funny, isn't it? The people who always touch my life most intensely are people I don't know very well, or at all.
