Goddammit, I'm going to have to read like an effing juggernaut to make my goal for this year, which I don't think is possible. New (shorterm, though not really ahahaha! ಠ__ಠ) goal: finish all The Chronicles of Narnia books before 09 June 2008. D:
The unofficial
25bookchallenge. Previous entries:

13. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (C.S. Lewis)
...Lewis wasn't exactly a feminist, was he. Reading this book now makes me think that fairytales aren't like cartoons: you don't enjoy them just as much if you're an adult.
14. Speak (Laurie Halse Anderson)
This book made me cry. There are so many things I could quote from it that require no explanation: these passages are self-explanatory in their emotiveness.
15. The Monk (Matthew Lewis)
The pacing needs work (e.g., Raymond talks way too much, and you can tell the last quarter of the novel was rushed), it was hard to follow at times, and it's my opinion that Lewis writes narrative better in first-person rather than third, but the book was generally very good.
