OH MY GOD! Oh my god! Did they just work together? Did five or SIX of them just work together, and by that I mean FIGHT together?! Does that even happen in anime? Is that possible? Did they really just do that?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy crap they did! And even though it won't work because the One True Hero will have to save the day, especially since this is Bleach, I will love this chapter FOREVER! Why don't they do this all the time? It is a much better showcase of their brains and talents than just doing the old one v. one continuous one-upping their opponent shtick. This is SO MUCH MORE IMPRESSIVE THE CAPS LOCK CANNOT CONTAIN MY GLEE! Find me a manga/anime/hell even book where they do this on a regular basis and I will love it forever.
Well-coordinated-multi-person plans FTW!
So now, I come to you all for help. Can we name some books/movies/shows/anime/manga that consistently showcase team efforts? With coordinated plans? And I mean both - not just one or the other. And every person involved needs to know that plan and how they fit into it. Also acceptable are teams that know each other so well they don't have to plan it out ahead of time. But they all still have to know what the other person/people are doing.
Here's what I have.
- Practically all con/heist movie/books/shows. Especially because they usually have more than a two person team.
- The Eclipse episodes of Avatar Also, when they were planning the final battle with Firelord Ozai (Melon-Lord!) If that had actually happened, it would have been awesome. Even if it was not planned out ahead of time.
- A lot of things that involve the clashes of armies. Offensive and defensive strategizing usually involved. So in that category I am going to make it more complicated and specify a three-pronged attack/defense stgrategy minimum. A single diversion does not cut it.
- Something from Disorderly Knights that cannot be said explicitly for spoilers.
- The Darkest Powers books are starting to get that way. Chloe and Derek are getting to be on the same page, and Simon and Derek are on the same page.
- Catching Fire, everyone except protagonists
- And come to think of it, Hunger Games, for Katniss and what's his name (the mentor) and their non-verbal communication skills.
- End of QoA - the deviousness that started the final attack is what really counts, since there was really only a single fake in that.
- And.... that's all I've got right now.
There have to be more. What am I missing?
