Vegas!

May 10, 2010 00:48

Got back from Vegas, and soooooo tired. Staying up late, and on and off car sleeping is an interesting combination. Anyways, just wanted to get some thoughts down on things, and review the trip as a whole.

The good: Yard long margarita, totally going back for those cheaper refills! And getting to hang out with my mom for Mother's Day
The bad: I am not a sardine XP
The random: MGM > Wynn? Heck ya!

Friday: Left at around 4:30 p.m. because of classes, and geez, traffic was bad heading out. I think I slept most of the way because I don't remember much, but the parts I do remember leave me thinking that driving to Vegas brings out the assholes in people. I have never seen people so horribly and rudely cut people off, in dangerous or "I don't care that I'm making everyone behind me break so I can get ahead in line." Got to Vegas at around midnight, and even though Joeson and I had already had In-N-Out for dinner, we went out for Denny's with his brother and his brother's friends. From now on, I will get their $8 value meal as long as they have it >D. Because of digesting and studying, I didn't end up sleeping until around 4 or 4:30? sadpanda, 'cuz we had to get up at like 6:45 for

Saturday! Joeson's cousin's graduation, Wynn pool, dinner at Carnegie's, and Taoooooooo
*Joeson's cousin's graduation: Long. Dear god, I hope my own graduation will not be as long or as cold as that.
*Wynn pool - Ehhhhhhh. Joeson's brother and his fiance love the Wynn for some reason, but we like MGM Grand better (cheaper, and who can resist a winding river?! >D). And WTF MAN, $20 margaritas? Nothxbai
*Dinner at Carnegie's - Expensive and way too much meat! I can finish a 16 oz. steak in one sitting, but man I can't handle a lot of pastrami and corned beef, I think we packed most of it to go =\. We passed up the buffet at the Rio (with my parents) or Lawry's (Joeson's family) for Carnegie's, and I have to say, Joeson's brother finally led him wrong =\.
*Tao - Srsly confused. We got in for free and didn't end up drinking, but SRSLY?!?! $$ cover charge, $20 drinks, and you're sandwiched between grinding people like sardines in a massive orgy? People constantly moving in and out, lots of pushing, definitely not enough room to dance in. Fire hazard anyone? So Joeson and I left early, thanked Joeson's brother and his friends, and picked up a yard long margarita from Rockhouse ($40, but hey, at 100 oz that's ~10x the size of the pool margaritas and ~?x the size of Tao's drinks, so we liked it =3) and went back to the room, hooked up the iPod, and I finally got to dance circles around Joeson. It was so much more fun ^o^, and I doubt we'll ever willingly go to a nightclub again. And randomly, as much as Joeson's brother wanted to see him drunk, Joeson ended up being TOTALLY sober in front of him. Lawl.

Sunday - Home for studying. Ughhh, it's in 9 hours.....
