Thanksgiving
Today was a really great day! I had to work this morning (5 - close). It actually wasn't that bad, we closed at 11 and then had to clean up and everything. I am always the last to leave and I was out at 12:45 so that was good. I love the people I work with, even though a lot of the time it stresses me out, I love the people.
We had dinner at my house this year. Nana, my Aunt Jayne, Aunti Ar, Uncle Lau, Denise, Mark, and all my family were there for dinner. And my Aunt MaryEllen and Uncle Andy, and Grammie came over for a little while later. The food was great, my dad is an awesome cook.... I helped some, but was mostly bartender for the day :-D Poker game of course broke out, I was really tired and was gonna take a nap, but everyone wanted me to play, so Janye gave me $10 and we all played. I ALMOST WON!! I won a couple hands early, and then got down to almost nothing... went all in and won some good size pots. Then Denise just kept chipping away at my pile, and whenever I got some good cards she had crap and folded... so I got screwed! It was still really fun, and a great time.
Now I am laying in my bed, contemplating going to bed because I have to open the store at 4am, or stay up a little while :-\
I miss my family already, and they all just left like an hour ago. I love Denise sooo much. She is more like a sister and a best friend than a cousin. She means the world to me. My nana too. We were all talking today about what we should do for her 70 birthday coming up. And the sunject of Christmas came up... Nana had said that she didn't want to have Christmas at her house, so that everyone would do their own thing. LOL apparently she just wanted to be able to invite the "good" relatives. "I want to have a party with the family I love, and that love me" - Nana LOL she is sooo funny. I guess you have to be in the family to get it... but it's funny really.
I am going to watch some tv and hopefully fall asleep soon :-D Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
