30 Day Meme - Day 27

I guess I'll just finish this off one day at a time. I guess I failed at this, doh!

Day 27 -- This month, in great detail

I am going to take "this month" as meaning January, and I refuse to get into "great detail" as that would take absolutely forever.

1st - woke up feeling super dehydrated. Tried to remember much of the night before and came up empty.

2nd - in a weird emotional/mental place. Actually didn't really feel like being alone that day, but couldn't really find anything to do. Played video games, got over it.

3rd - spent the day de-xmasfying my apartment. A very satisfying task to complete.

4th - first day back at work is always the hardest. One of the chemists was stuck out east so I ended up working some extra hours. Exhausted by the end of it. Had an interesting conversation with a co-worker about PS3 games. Dialogue went like this:

him: so what are you playing?
me: I'm really into Little Big Planet
him: oh my son is hooked on that game
me: *pause* and how old is your son again?
him: six
me: so you're saying I have the gaming skills and interests of a six year old?
him: *pause* well, ummm. I mean, I played that game before. It's really fun and can be quite challenging, and ..
me: uh huh

It amused me greatly to see him try and dig his foot out of his mouth.

5th - worked a weird schedule at work; saw the specialist for my staph thing. He was boggled about it coming up again and suggested maybe it was cold sores. I explained I've never had one before on my mouth or elsewhere, and he said it's possible for them to be specific to my nose. I then asked if that's the case why do they pus? He said he wasn't sure. And if that's the case, why do they react to antibiotics (since viruses don't), especially a staph-specific one. Again, he wasn't sure. This whole situation is just silly. Went back to work after. Exhausted by the end of it. Talked with a girlfriend for a bit, then an online buddy while playing Little Big Planet.

6th - back to my normal shift. A pretty standard day, except for my sharing my holiday activities (re: boys) with one of my fellow middle-management lackeys, and her turning around and discussing it loudly when another lackey (ironically the one from the 4th) walked in the room. Something to the effect of "so you're saying you spent new year's eve straddling and ravishing some cute guy at a party?". I turned beet red and walked out, and the male lackey avoided me for the rest of the night.

7th - the night of horror where everything seemed to go wrong. Our first tank adjustment in about 6 months, but we actually got it fixed in time for the line to start running without downtime. Had an interesting conversation with my boss in which he told me the plant manager wants to submit our team for this federal recognition for the amazing improvements we've seen. My boss credited this to my awesome presentation skillz (or something to that effect). The lackey from the 6th is still avoiding me, and the one who spilled is greatly amused by the situation. Had to force myself to talk to a buddy of mine to get some info; with how strained things seem between us right now this was quite an effort. Played a little Little Big Planet, then decided I should play something else. Put in Ratchet and Clank; lost track of time and went to bed 1.5 hrs later than usual. So addictive.

8th - woke up, showered, did some laundry. Played more Ratchet and Clank. Lost track of time again, going to work with the absolute worst hairdo on the planet since I didn't follow my usual routine for smooth-shiny goodness. A non-traumatic workday, spent trying to work on the paperwork associated with the recognition thing. One of the lines had to stay late (ironically lackey from day 4, 6 and 7); I stayed to help with his line and then make sure things went okay for my employees. When I tell him I'm staying in case they have problems it seems to change things for him and things return to our normal banter. Realized I am not cut out for manual labour (aka pouching bags). Got home at about 1:30am, no gaming was had.

9th - Woke up early for me (9:30am), got ready and headed down into the city to go shopping in Kensington with some people. Took the subway (which I still find fun in some really weird way). Ended up stopping for pho before going, which was really good and defrosted my poor nose. I was talked into going to an event that night, so some time was spent trying to find something to wear. I came to the startling realization all petticoats are not figure flattering and can be stupidly expensive, especially when logically you can make them for pretty cheap. I did end up buying some interesting mittens things, a necklace, some fishnets and a skirt for that night. Went to a friend's place, got ready and went to the event. It was okay; I'll agree that the venue left a certain something to be desired. Met a few new people, left around midnight and then fell asleep really early for me.

10th - Slept in pretty late (noon), then went to pick up a friend to bring back to the house for dinner. We stopped at Chapters to return a book I got her for xmas, and she spent 45 minutes looking at books before deciding she didn't want anything. Resisted the urge to strangle. Stopped at Krispy Kreme and bought uber delicious balls of sugar-coated fat. Returned to the house and resisted the urge to eat more donuts while waiting for dinner. Dinner was stupidly delicious as usual and left me with a very satisfied and full tummy. Left their house and went to visit a friend of mine in Scarborough to play games. No games were played, but instead we watched game trailers online and then Attack of the Show! on G4 before I headed home. Grabbed a coffee on the drive, which left me up until 5am. Tweaked my profile on a website and wrote a few blog entries before passing out.

11th - woke up and tried to coordinate things to get a half night off, which worked out. Went and worked for 4 hours before leaving to head back to the city in the midst of weather bukkake *shakes angry fist*. Arrived at the munch around 8:30 and stayed until about midnight. Met a few new people, but mainly talked to people I knew but don't see very often. Had many hugs, so much so that I think my back is actually a little sore from it. Mindbottling. Had a conversation that was a little too long with this very energetic guy who I was convinced was going to smash me in the face with his hand gesturing. Had a conversation with another guy who spent almost the entire time staring at my tits. Had conversations with other people who glanced, but didn't focus on them (which is preferable). Concluded I am going to have to start wearing turtlenecks. Drove back up north and stopped at work to talk to Chemist Foo about something, then got home. Blogged a bit, talked to a friend about maybe meeting up in Vegas in February. Looked some stuff up, then went to sleep.

yes, my life is really this boring :P

weather bukkake, things that make my boobs look better, random acts of being social, alcohol is my friend, mild perversion, 30 days, body woes, dramarama, general ramblings, game geekness, boys being weird, work
