Texas Trip - No 1

Friday: So after the catastrophe that was my trip down here in February a few years ago, I figured the travel process would be equally traumatic. Could the airport make the whole check-in process any more complicated? YES. But I caught my flight with time to spare, and surprisingly it left on time AND I arrived in Texas early, so much so that heimshal wasn't even around to pick me up. So lame. :P

So we were hungry and went to Taco Bueno, which has to be the best cheap mexican food on the planet. For the low low price of $5 I got 3 tacos, a gimongous soda, rice, and nacho chips with all the fixing (yummy guacamole!). Went back to wait for msanya to get off work and watched a bad bad BAD Disney movie with Vin Diesel. Picked up anya and saw random horses, and babbled (near) continuously about the shoddy design of Texas roadways and how they need civil engineers, which resulted in a very grumpy and annoyed anya who insists that we "don't like anything about Texas". Not true, we like her. And Taco Bueno. Oh, and the random horses in fields in commercial areas. Seriously, I cannot make this shit up. I will get pictures to substantiate this claim.

Went to Fourth Friday, which is this munch thing that they have down here once a month on (you guessed it) the Fourth Friday. Met some new people and got to see dfwleathergirl again (totally squeeworthy event). Was approached by a rather submissive-kind of man (I still maintain it was the heels), and was hormonally perplexed by another one that I found insanely attractive and cute.

Saturday: We were supposed to go to IHOP, but it was too busy. Then we were supposed to go to Waffle House, but it was also busy. So we went for thai, and it was NOMNOMNOM. So that was a good breakfast. Then we went and did groceries and I bought two pints of Ben and Jerry's - Karmel Sutra and Everything But the Sink. I hate that Canada is so much more limited in its BJ flavors. So sad. :( I also bought apple, blue raspberry, and orange flavored licorice. So random, yet so awesome! So I bought some for people at work. Then spent the rest of the day by the pool swimming, and reading/sunbathing. So nice!

Spent some sissy time and went to Half Price Books and Bath and Body Works. I spent WAY too much money in both stores, but totally worth it. I think I now have like 35 books left to read. *headdesks* My primo find was Running with Scissors for $2. Clearance sections rock my socks like a bad 80's hairsong. I also spent entirely too much at B&BW, but it was all for a good cause! My sister's birthday, and my moms, and me! I got so much free stuff it almost sickened me that I spent that much. I got my cherry limeade from Sonic and it made me squirm in ways no drink ever should. It seriously disturbed me.

Sunday: Had yummai pancakes for breakfast, then went out to a puppy party in Arlington. Random hormone-confusion-inducing person was there so that was odd, but fun. I'm not entirely sure what are my things any more, but it was definitely interesting to see, and it did kind of in a way make you want to run and jump in and play. But like the wallflower I am I just watched, lol. We then went to Sonic on the way home and I got a cranberry limeade (cherry is better), thus fulfilling phase 2 of my plan to try a different Sonic drink each day of my trip. Hit Taco Bueno again (goddamn can heimshal eat), and came home and vegged out the rest of the afternoon. Soon it will be pool time again! Hopefully I do not pull a virgin Mary and end up pregnant.
