Wake Up Call

Sep 21, 2005 12:35

My boss called today to advise me that the service guy for the AA is coming in today to take a look at 2pm. This guy is near impossible for her to track down, and I call him yesterday afternoon and he's already coming in. Digress. Anyway, this means I get to go in early, which is ok with me because it means I get to leave early to watch The Grid at 10 tonight vs. at 1am. I guess I should do the dishes while watching that, hrmmmm.

Which is good because I booked an oil change/brake inspection for 9am tomorrow. Why the hell would I do such a thing? Oh right, I hadn't showered or eaten yet, so I was still 95% asleep. My bed has been entirely too warm and snuggly lately that I haven't been able to drag myself out of it unless absolutely necessary. Either way, I know my motive for 9am was so that I can still make it to the gym tomorrow before work, and hopefully make it into work early, and hopefully get home by 10 to watch The L Word instead of 1am, and hopefully get to bed at a decent hour so I can get up early Friday to go to aquafit, then work, and leave work around 8:30pm and go back to the gym and do some biking before coming home, showering, doing stuff, then going to sleep.

For the record, 'stuff' is pretty much writing up lab reports. I have two due on Saturday, and I finished up the first one last night. This is what ALL of my free time has been going to since Sunday; lab report writing. I estimate #1 took me about 6-8 hrs to write up. Glarg. So tonight will be 11-2am doing lab report. Tomorrow will be 11-2am lab report. Friday will be revision and touch-ups (while still at work since my printer is out of ink again, so it needs to be printed up there). Oh, and some studying since apparently we have a test on Saturday ...

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.

On the backtrack to work, I guess this is part of the perks of 'additional responsibilities'. Seeing as how I am the one who has put so much effort into unlocking the mysteries of the AA, I am now the one responsible for everything concerning it. Bah. Also on the work agenda for the rest of September: creating standardization forms from scratch, evaluating AA efficiency, two more protocols to start/finish, notebook review, tracking down instructions for use for a new reagent, work physical on Tuesday, Spill Response training on the 30th, plus regular benchwork to be done. Oh yes, I'm lovin' it.

school, work
