Big Man on Campus

Well, it has been a wild ride in the game. I’ve gotten through quite a few events since the last update. I am finally starting to feel like a higher level player. However, I still feel like a noob. Oh well, on to the update.

CoP

Well CoP has been going at a snails pace right now. The promy’s are kicking our asses. The NM fights are just killing us. However, it does seem that we or perfecting our technique. In any LS that starts something new together, you have to expect some adjustment time. We’re getting through it. This past Monday, we went after Dem. I had already beaten it with a previous party, but I went along to help with the run up to the Spire. It was just our regular routine…….

We got up to the spire easily without any deaths. This was a pic of our "Mage Team."

We rebuilt the parties so that everyone who needed to beat Dem was together. Here's how it turned out....

They got their strategy down and went in. Since Draconas, Wil, and myself had already done it, we waited outside.

The NM party seemed to be doing pretty well. But, as we watched their health bars, we saw them slowly start to die off. It would seem that the additional mobs from the NM were a bit overwhelming. Unfortunately, they wiped.

They all had to HP because none of us could raise them. Afterwards, Drac and I got ourselves a D3 a called it a night. Hopefully these missions will start looking up and start wining more.

Windhurst Missions

For the longest time, I have been stuck at rank 6. I had finished 6-1, but I hadn't had a chance to do 6-2. The reason why was because it was a BC fight that only Windy people who had already done it or needed to do it could participate in. Finally, I saw a group searching for members in Jeuno for 6-2, and I jumped on board. We grouped up and flew to Windy. We all ran to Balgas Dias (sp?) to get ready for the fight.

We went into the BC and it's a fight against 4 Yagudo. A WHM, PLD, SMN, and NIN I believe. Pretty much, you just sleep the ones you don't want to fight, and take them one at a time. Pretty easy fight, but we were lucky because the SMN didn't have a chance to get it's 2hr off.

The last part of the Mission is to go to Castle Ostroga and talk to an NPC. However, the NPC is behind a door that the big NM gaurds. It's the same area that you have to go to for G3. Well, we got to the area, and I made it across to the door without aggro. I can't say the same for the rest of my party. A couple of us made it to the door, but someone aggro'd the NM. I was able to sleep it. Our tank had died because he took a wrong turn. Since you need a key to open the door, we were in a hard position. However, we had two keys, so those of us who were still alive went through the door. I slept the NM about 3 more times so we could get the NPC to do it's thing. The we escaped, rested, and went back in for the NIN. However, when we got back, we found that he was WAAAAAY off track. When I went up to find him, I got aggro'd somehow and died. I went ahead and HP'd since they would not have been able to raise me. Even thought I died, it was still worth it, cause:

Hope to do more in the near future.

Zilart

Yet another event that I have needed to do for a long time. I had started in a ZM party with some people from Null, but I fell behind because of class and connection issues. However, I asked a good friend of mine to give me a hand. Sure enough, he whipped up a party of 75's together, and we headed out.

I still had to finish collecting the shards for ZM5. The only two I had left were the ones in Yhotar Jungle

and Cape Terrigan.

Both of these were NM fights, and we didn't have any trouble. The only problem we had was we took a wrong turn after getting out of Ifrit's Cauldron, and had to go through it again. Other than that, the fights went fine. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

After that, we had to go to Quicksand Caves (QSC) for a BC fight against 3 Antican's. We didnt have any problems on the run to the BC.

They discussed a quick strategy and then we got ready to go in.

The fight went pretty well. Just take them one at a time and sleep the others. I'll let the Pics tell the story.

However, we did hit one snag. Pai, my friend and our NIN, took the RNG NM's Barage attack. Took him down instantly. Sorry Pai :(. /cry

Since these were all Japanese players, they needed to get some sleep, so we called it quits. I hope to finish up and get sky VERY soon.

Leveling BLM

What can I say about BLM. It's been going absolutely wonderfully. The last update I had just reached 68. Well, needless to say, a day or so later....

Level 69. I've had some fun MBing with firaga 3, but that's not all that's been fun....

Level 70. Can I Have it? Yes I can:). Now I'm gonna do Maat soon. I've got my Magic Skills capped, so I think I'm ready. I tried to beat him at level 69, but i made some really stupid spell decisions and got myself raped. I have a much better idea of what I need to do, so hopefully it will go a bit better. Any ways, here are some pics of the leveling process.

Getting closer and closer to 75. YAY!!! I have my Weskit sitting and waiting :). More to come!!

Other Stuff

Not a whole lot here. Syxx and I helped 4 other guys get through Mission 5-2. A.k.a the Shadow Lord fight. It wasn't too bad at all. We got up there with very few problems. The fight was relatively easy, and it was fun to help out. Not many pics, but a few.

This one is my favorite. I let Syxx borrow my V-Cloak. IMO, PLD are prolly the job that looks best with the vermy. Had to take a pic of it. /cheer Syxx

--------------------

Well, that's just about it. Only other update is that I've joined Obsidian. It's considered the best NA Dynamis LS on our server. I'm going on my first run on Sunday. Dynamis Jeuno, here I come :)!!!!
