college: day 3 1/2
last night the dorm (some of us at least) went out for dinner together.
we all talked about where we were from and one girl said she was from belleville.
me: wait, you're from belleville?
her: yeah.
me: i know a guy from belleville.
her: oh yeah, what's his name?
me: jeff.
her: hmm...
me: tweedy.
her: don't know him.
me: really? huh, ok.
then she went on to tell me about how there had been a lot of really gruesome murders in belleville as of late. like, csi/law & order crazy murders.
we had a floor meeting where we talked about what we wanted to do as a floor, like movie nights and volleyball games and stuff. i suggested getting a band. i'll talk to rob and see if he can give me a non-sarcastic answer as to who might be willing to play my hallway. hmm...maybe i should talk to the autumn defense...that would be hot.
jinna and i stayed up talking until midnight. i had gone to turn off my lappy and was like 'oh man, it's past midnight! i've got class at 9 tomorrow!' but we stayed up a bit longer.
oh, and we had sort of funny diet coke emergency...our fridge is packed with generic diet cola from kroger....and last night jinna went into it to get a can and she pulled out one that had ice busting out of the sides. 'uh oh' we looked at the fridge, it was COVERED in brown sticky stuff. there was another about to pop, so i pulled it out and tossed it in the sink. neither of us had any notion that it could get so cold in there...we moved them all down to the bottom of the fridge. it was pretty funny.
so....who wants to here about my exciting first day of classes????
well, it's not over yet, but, yeah.
i had soc at 9, walked over with some girls from my dorm. it seems like a cool class. i need to get 2 more books and read from them by wednesday. our proff just moved to c-dale, and he tends to go off on tangents. we got out 20 minutes early, which i was very thankful for since i had to find my next class immediatly.
into to contemporary math was next. it seems like a relatively easy class but i was getting sort of sleepy. i've got some hw that's due on monday, i'll work on that today. maybe. (yes, fine, i'll do it now, dad)
so, yeah, i've got english 120 next...that should be cool.
i think i'm gonna call up kiki to meet me at starbuck's...and then try to get my new books.
