I've got that song stuck in my head. We're studying genre films, specifically westerns, but I've been reading about musicals as well....sooo....that coupled with the gorgeous weather, I'm singing Oklahoma.
Really, though, it's 60 degrees out. I'm wearing a skirt again! It's a happy day.
Oh, right, it's Lent, eh? I'm kinda Catholic, and there are some life changes I'd like to make soooo....
No pop until the end. That's what I'm doing. I'd do coffee, but that's just cruel. Heaven help me when I need to pull those allnighters in the loft. Pop does not include seltzer, or other naturally/unflavored sparkling water things.
I don't know if I'm still getting together with Jesse tonight. I do hope that Katie and I can hit up the bank and do some grocery shopping.
Another thing I learned when avoiding my paper the other night (oh the wonders of IMDB): For Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Michael Palin, Eric Idle and John Cleese were all considered for the Willy Wonka role. Gregory Peck was going to play the grandfather, but he died before production started. Can you imagine how awesome the movie would have been with that cast?? Also, the screenwriter hadn't seen the 'original' until after he finished the script...he was apparently quite disturbed by the original 'family' film.
More trivia...we're talking about The Searchers in class right now...and it turns out that Natalie Wood was still in high school when they were film...and John Wayne used to pick her up from school to take her to shoots! She got to be popular, I imagine.
I should really be paying attention in class. No, just kidding dad, I'm actually paying attention.
