I'm tired this morning...but when am I not tired?
Last night, Mom and Ray and I stayed up late, watching "No Direction Home" on PBS, and we all got a little goofy. Mom kept throwing (clean) laundry at Ray, and I was laughing. We were all singing along with the Dylan songs...each competing to see who could out do the other in Dylan or Baez impressions. I love those nights, when nothing else matters and we all just get along and have a good time together.
We watched "Brazil" last night...I can't believe I've never seen it before..what a fooking epic film! It has all of the touches that make Terry Gilliam's films so brilliant: a sense of modern societal/cultural desperation, switching constantly between the reality of the film and a dream/nightmare world...not to mention the lighting and camera angles that seem impersonal yet invading the space of the scene and the actors.
Today I'm heading to Bloodshot to be in a filming for a part of the DVD! Huzzah! I can't wait!
This morning I listened to: The new Loose Fur album, the new Ditty Bops album, and the to-be-released-in-august Paul Burch album...all of which are great stuff!
Only half an hour until I'm outta here!
