Woohoo, not a bad weekend!

On Friday, I got my Japanese midterm back. I managed to pull off a 92%, which is not too terrible. I thought I'd do a little better, but I made several small errors, all of which added together. I need to review my tests more carefully before I turn them in. In Comp, we showed our fugues, and then Jeffrey and another dancer from Pilobolus came in, and talked to us about the creative process they use when creating new work. I'm really disappointed I couldn't go and see them, but tickets sold out so long ago that I really had no chance. On Monday, we're going to play with adding music to the fugues we created, and that will be rather fun I think.

After school, Teague and I went to my parent's house for my sister's birthday dinner. That was rather fun, my relatives from Hawaii were visiting, and we rarely see them/have family affairs. However, my father did randomly somewhat molest Teague, and that was strange/amusing. I also got talked into agreeing to visit, and so I think I'll try to save money for a plane ticket to Hawaii, in my break between Spring and Summer quarter.

Saturday consisted of work, and dinner with the familia again. Although I had to open, I didn't go to bed until 1:30AM, and then I slept very poorly for the 2 or so hours I did get. I kept waking every half hour or so, and it was most annoying.

Today has been a nice day...work went by quickly, I wasn't too tired despite my lack of sleep, and I got my review, and a small raise, which is nice. Sue had many nice things to say about me, and overall, it went well. Although I often hate my job, it's good to know that my manager appreciates me, and enjoys having me as an employee. After work, I picked up Teague, and we hung out at the condo for a few hours. Now, he is home, and I am mustering the willpower to work on my homework. I don't have much, but it still needs to be done. Oh! I also got my driver's license, and all my cards in the mail, and my paycheck/tips. So, I am once again rich and in business as a functioning member of society. Yay.

Because I haven't had a chance to see The Goblet of Fire yet, and I'm a little bored, here's a survey about Harry Potter I yoinked from The Survey Place. Survey is

ABOUT YOU
1) Name: Kia.
2) Age: 19.
3) Which Harry Potter character are you most similar to? Probably Hermione, but with a better sense of humor. I love to read, I'm somewhat intelligent and hardworking, etc, but I also have very passionate ideals, and I can be blind to the practicalities of such things.
4) Which character would most likely be your enemy? I have no idea. I'd probably hate Padma, Lavender, etc.
5) If you were sorted, in which house would you belong? (NOT which house you want to be in, but which your personality fits best!) Ravenclaw.

THE BOOKS
6) How were you introduced to Harry Potter? Some kid at Montessori had the first three, and lent them to me.
7) Have you read all of the Harry Potter books? Not the most recent.
8) How long have you liked Harry Potter? Several years, since I was 12 or so.
9) How many times have you read each of the books?
1: I dunno.
2: Again, I dunno.
3: 3.
4: Around 3.
5: Once and a half.
6: Never.
10) Which is your favourite book? So far, Goblet of Fire.
11) Which versions do you own? All of the hardcover books.
12) Do you own Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them, &/or The Magical Worlds of Harry Potter? I do not.
13) Do you think the books can be improved in any way? They can be a little redundant, and I think the third book is just terrible in terms of plot. Also, the first three read a little young.
14) Favourite chapter? (all books) I don't know.
15) What theories/predictions do you have about the last book? I haven't read them recently enough to have any.

CHARACTERS
16) Who is your favourite professor? Snape, (he's intriguing!) McGonogall, or MadEye.
17 Who is your favourite student? Draco, Harry
18) Who is your favourite minor character? Probably Percy.
19) Who is your least favourite professor? Hagrid.
20) Who is your least favourite student? Ron.
21) Who is your least favourite minor character? Any of the house elves.
22) What is your favourite beast? Nifflers.
23) Favourite quotes? "My wife is deathly afraid of birds." "I bought this in a Muggle shop. Muggles wear 'em." "Yes, Muggle WOMEN wear them." "I like a nice, healthy breeze round my privates, thank you!"

THE MOVIES
24) How do you feel about Harry Potter being made into movies? I enjoy it.
25) Have you seen the movies? All but the most recent.
26) What did you think about the movies? They were a little boring. Very detailed, and beautiful, but the appropriate plot/length adaptations were not made for a more palatable movbie, and there was too much effort to cram EVERYTHING in. I did like the music though.
27) Are you planning on seeing the rest of the movies? Yes.
28) What do you think should be changed about the movies? I think the wands and brooms look weird, and Dumbledore is far too droopy and passive. He should be lively, and fun!
29) Is there anything you hate/extremely dislike about any of them? They were just bit long.

FANDOM
30) Do you like fanfiction? I think it's a bit silly.
31) Do you read fanfiction? Ocasionally.
32) Do you write any fanfiction? No.
33) Do you like fanart? Eh. If it's well done, it's interesting to see.
34) Do you do any fanart? No.

Alrighty, this entry is becoming excessive. I need to get my work done n' such. Good night!

Kia.
