I got my New York Yankees cap...YAY!!! I don't care if it isn't the proper type or the proper colours, I love it just the way it is.
The holiday was fantastic, Milo and I had the best time. So I shall do a little bit of sharing and fill you in on most of what we got up to :)
Flew in to Koh Samui, me from Singapore (almost missed my flight damn QANTAS!) and Milo from Bangkok.
Stayed in Chaweng which is one of the main beaches there.
Did most of our shopping in Chaweng, made friends with a tailor who greated us with G'DAY MATE every time we walked past him.
We were constants at this restaurant there called Ninjas, it was absolutely amazing; the food was fantastic and the people were so nice. Plus they had coconuts, I drank those babies down two at a time, they were delicious! I could get about three main meals for $10, so there lies my sudden refound cheapness :p
After Chaweng, we went to Big Buddha Beach (named due to a giant gold Buddha statue). We stayed in a nice enough hotel...got to share a bed with Milo, hehehehe Meh Scuzi!
Although the shower wasn't separate from the bathroom, as I soon learnt, that really wasn't a problem, all I wanted was hot water (the next hotel didn't have this!).
There was also the problem of it being about 2km from the airport! Say hello to the planes flying repeatedly over head!
From Big Buddha, we left Koh Samui and went to a close island called Koh Phang Nan and stayed at a crappy hotel called Phanganburi Resort and Health Spa. It wasn't a resort and it wasn't a health spa but the pool was really nice!
It was on that island that we had the best time, got absolutely SHIT FACED and got to hold a snake and a hawk. It was the best night ever, there was fire throwing as well and Milo and I brought fire chains back to practice with :) I LOVE FIRE.
We met two german girls and had a blast that night, I bugged the DJ repeatedly which was fun, I think I requested DIRTY, don't ask me why. Then tried to make an international phone call, thank god that didn't work!
So yeah, it was a really really great holiday and I'm already planning Bali for Feburary 2006 so, if you're interested :) Holler out!
