This has been an interesting summer in my neck of the woods. Back on July 2, we had penny-sized hail (about .75"), and lightning struck the apartment building across the street. Nine apartments were destroyed and the entire building is vacant until it can be repaired. One the 20th, several people were struck by lightning at a local soccer game. Some were critically hurt.
