Confirmed: Record-setting outbreak for Dec. in Northeast

Friday saw the largest severe weather outbreak on record in the Northeast for a month of December. Over 100 reports of severe thunderstorm winds (significant damage or recorded gusts of at least 50 knots) already came in by late last night. Now, as various local NWS offices begin sending out survey crews, tornadoes are being confirmed, as well. The Weather Channel is reporting that Pennsylvania is now up to three confirmed tornadoes - two F1s (one fatal), and one F2. These tornadoes are that state's first December twisters on record - since at least 1950.
