Well, looks like it's been several years since I wrote a life update here. After everyone pretty much left Livejournal and went to Tumblr (which I can't stand) and Twitter (which makes me feel like I'm shouting into the wind) I now spend most of my time posting silly cat memes and other memes I find funny to Facebook. I'm on Dreamwidth with crossposting to here. I'm so sorry to hear about your mum and brother, I didn't know they'd passed away. You have my deepest condolences. Congratulations on all the published work, that's so fantastic!

Thanks! Yeah, it's been sad. That's not counting all the extended family that has gone. My mom's last surviving sibling died a few months ago and that brought fresh sadness because it is the end of an era.

But writing is great so there's that. And the grandkids! They make me happy. :-)

That’s a lot of news! I haven’t posted here in ages either, but LJ still sends me reminders and notifications from time to time, which is how I saw this. I’m glad I did!

Congratulations on the writing, and the grandchildren! I have two grandsons myself now, and I don’t get to see them as often as I’d like, either. (One is 300 miles away and the other 100.)

Condolences on your losses. I guess there’s never a good way or time to lose your mom. Your love for your brother really comes through in your writing here. I’m not even a little bit surprIsed you’re doing so well at writing professionally.

Supernatural... what a ride, huh? I’m not nearly as invested as I used to be, but I’ll stay around to see how it ends. Although I confess I hardly feel like I know the characters these days. But that’s a discussion for another time.

I really enjoyed The Witcher also! I don’t know if I’ll wind up doing anything fannish for it, but I would like to find time to do a rewatch.

*waves hello* It's great to hear from you! Congratulations to you on your grandkids! They are such a joy. My daughter has one daughter and three sons. She was really hoping for another girl with this pregnancy but guess what? Another boy! LOL. Oh, well. At least she has one.

Thanks for your kind words about my mom and brother. I expected it for both - kind of a weird premonition - but when it actually happened it's always rather shocking.

Yes, I know what you mean about not really recognizing the Supernatural characters any more. I suppose it's past time for it to end, but that brings regret as well.

I hope you are still healthy - stay safe!

We are OK here, Germany has handled everything very good so far. We don't go out much, but it's ok with us.

Minniemax! It's great to hear from you! So glad that you are well in Germany. We're hanging in there here. It's a strange situation but we're all doing the best we can, I suppose. Except those people killing one hapless store clerks who are requiring them to wear masks. Talk about a horrible thing to do.

Anyhow, thanks for your kind words about my mom and my brother. On the plus side I am now a grandma for the 5th time! Four boys and one girl. I don't get to see them enough but I'm sure grateful to have them.
