First Week
FINALLY. DAN HILL HAS COME BACK... TO BOSTON! *cheers*
so yeah. first week of classes is over. 13 more to go until christmas break. lol
lets run down my classes, shall we?
Mech343 aka Statics - very easy class so far. vector analysis and such. teacher is a guy i had last year (i picked him, cause hes cool) and if this class stays within stuff i already know, easy, easy, A.
Math280 aka Calculus - this class... is a joke. well at leats the prof is. hes a very smart man, but he cant express his ideas clearly and goes on wild tangents (calc joke! XD). from ratemyprofessor.com, someone said "i learned more about magic tricks than calculus". so ill have to take what i already know and hopefully he focuses on the hard stuff more diligently. Possible A? High B, more likely.
Econ110 aka Economics - i cant say much about this class yet. i have it twice a week and we havent really gone over too much yet. the prof is a foreign guy (for'ner teachin our 'merican kids 'bout dat dere money problems?) but hes very good at what he does. hes very funny too. he knows that crunching numbers and shit isnt fun, but he kinda makes it. hes like "say you graduate and get a job... *in thick middle-eastern accent* Yay you graduate! Yay you get a job! you get say $60k a year... after taxes, health insurance, car payment *lists bajillion more things* you broke.... you broke..." hes awesome. projected grade: B. he has a very hard grading system, so ill have to see about this class
Phys220 aka Physics - this class is going to be very long and drawn out... the professor is so boring. again, hes a guy who knows his stuff, but cant teach. hes pretty funny, but thats cause hes a really old dude and talks really slowly and kinda mumbles. right now were going over stuff from chemistry, and the syllabus doesnt seem to go outside of stuff i already had, so yeah.. projected grade B+/A-
Mech395 aka Mech Design using Solidworks - dear god... i cant take it anymore. on ratemyprof they should have an option that lets you know they dont know english at all... this guy is a stereotypical chinese guy. the first word that popped out of his mouth was "herro" i kid you not. the letter L does not exist in this mans dialect, or diarect as he would say. "to make dis moderr, you have to extrue da piece brindry. dat mean you pick directshin...whicheva way you rike." i LOL so hard in every class. i cant listen to the man. even his powerpoints have Engrish in them. projected grade B+/A-

on to my suite
its very small... well my room in particular. in each suite in the building, there are 3 rooms. the 3rd one is the smallest in each room. guess where i live? lol its not all bad i guess. my roommates cool. were getting along surprisingly well... also, he wanted to merge our music... and we couldnt... we listen to the same stuff. between reel big fish, metallica, joe satriani, steve vai, fuckin idk... everything. our itunes are identical. so if either one of us have music on, the other is happy. which is nice... compared to last year. i have 4 other suitemates. charlie is a very laid back guy. great guitarist. out of everyone else, hes the one who hangs out with me and my roommate. his roommate josh is like a mirror image of my stepbro charlie. just the image... not the douchebaggeriness. hes really cool. hes a partier and everything, but he doesnt start shit. the other 2 guys i really dont know anything about. Alex is like a pot dealer out of his room, so in the very near future we have to address that... we can smell the shit everywhere. his roommate kevin is very quiet. ive been here a week and ive never heard him talk.... i think he said hi once... maybe.
but yeah. so far so good. i was really hesitant to unpack just in case another room opened up with my friends, but i settled in now. im pretty happy with what i have here. were slowly making rules and stuff, and everyones contributing a little bit so its pretty easy. yeah.
this weekend sucks though... all of my friends went home cause its a long weekend, so im bored out of my mind, hence why i posted lol
