Well looking back it has been ages since I last posted here. I'm not even going to bother filling in that gap. Most people who will read this generally already know what I have been up to.
I'm using this post to publicly state my goal of establishing some form of morning routine. This is not a new years resolution (as I consider those doomed to failure) but rather is just a stepping stone to living a bit better and being more organized.
Those of you who have more recently lived with me know that on week days I wake up 5 minutes before I'm supposed to be at work, put on whatever random clothes I encounter before I find my way out of my room with my eyes barely open, stumble into the bathroom, do my hair in less than a minute, toss on some shoes and drive to work.
While quick it does mean that I skip a few steps that I tend to think are important.
1) I never really know what I'm wearing till I look in a bathroom mirror at work. This has led me to wearing inappropriate stuff at work, wearing clothes backwards and on occasion inside out.
2) I skip breakfast. Most important meal of the day blah blah blah, you know how that goes.
3) I often forget to make/grab a lunch on my way out the door. This generally ends up costing me money as I then buy lunch at one of the cafeterias around work. I REALLY WANT TO CORRECT THIS.
4) I often forget to grab my gym bag so I don't get around to any real exercise during the day. This is especially an issue in the winter time because I am less likely to do anything once I get home.
So now I have a new alarm clock (necessary as I could reprogram my old one in my sleep) and its set at a bright and early 7:00am (vs my current 9:00am). Wish me luck and feel free to harass me if I'm not succeeding.
