ONGOING ARCHIVE NOTES

Torchwood 3

Volume 74, Week 44

ALIEN ACTIVITY: Just when I thought we'd gotten Rhys away from Torchwood, he winds up filling in for the delivery driver assigned to Fairy Cakes Bakery in Llanishen. The Ka'Bleen, owner/operators of this extraterrestrial immigrant business, are current on all documentation and operating within required health codes. We may need to work with them on the whole 'blending in' thing, though.

ALIEN TECHNOLOGY: Phil and I fixed Gladys' transmitter malfunction. I quite enjoyed her talent with opera. Brought a tear to my eye. Ianto and I retrieved a Sneaky Spider from an antique dealer on the Cryws Road. The toy has clearly been tampered with because I had one when I was a kid and never had this much trouble catching it. It has been deactivated and stored for future study.

RIFT ACTIVITY: Within acceptable levels and tolerances. One false alarm at the chartered accountants on Whitchurch Road. Ianto and I gave the office a thorough search but found nothing.

SECURITY: No cleanup required for the Fairy Cakes Bakery incident. Rhys can be trusted with this. His waistline may be at risk, though. Will inform his missus just as soon as Ianto places another order for Torchwood. I'm thinking red velvet. Haven't had red velvet cake since I was in New York in 1892, and it's all I can think about since smelling it.

OTHER SECURITY ISSUES: Need to do an immediate inventory of items that have been loaned out to Torchwood 2. I'm getting sick of expecting something to be available only to find it's lost in Archie's basement. Especially since he doesn't have a basement.

STAFF: JJ's first day manning the tourist office was a success. He helped over the phone, showed aptitude on Mainframe, and reviewed a good chunk of the Torchwood training video pack.

OTHER STAFF ISSUES: We should consider a new training program. Amusing though he is, Instructor Smith really isn't the person I want working with my staff. Instructor Jones, on the other hand…

OTHER ISSUES: Will need to allocate funds to replace glazing and frame of one kitchen window at the Fairy Cakes Bakery. The glass must block at least 75% of the infrared spectrum, and under no circumstances should it be tinted.

Actually got a little sleep last night. But I've had a low-grade headache for the last few days, and the sleep didn't help. I think I'm going to give Martha a call. Maybe she'll have an idea what's going on.
