I SAW IT I SAW IT I SAW IT

It was awesome. Loved it. I felt like I'd seen all the Jack stuff before in previews and set photos, but there was a nice unexpected shot of him examining a bruise on his chest in the mirror! It was actually very dark. And JB is killing it. He's acting expressively (as is his wont!) but not hamming it.

Mekhi Phifer was the best this ep, though. OMG. I could not imagine the character being played by anyone else. I about died when he yelled "GODDAMN WALES" (is that what he said? It was something very rude about Wales! He even compared it to New Jersey!)

The Gwen taking down the helicopter was epic times a thousand.

I don't quite understand the review that said this episode moved slowly. It seemed like the opposite to me. There was a ton of action, of movement, of travelling, and almost no quiet character moments. I'm waiting excitedly for those coming up in future episodes. I think Gwen's character has definitely changed over the last years; she has a different demeanor and voice and maturity to her. For better or for worse, Rhys doesn't seem to have changed at all. And Jack? I can't tell yet, but I'm dying to know!

I'm still flailing and don't know what say! :)

Though some guy tried to harsh on my squee when I said I liked it, "Really?" And walked away muttering unsavory comments. D:

Whoah I don't get that. Everybody in the premiere in Atlanta was positive, it seemed like! There was much clapping and whooping and lots of YEAH THAT ROCKED at the end as everyone filed out.

Yeah, there was loads of clapping, yelling, and laughing during and right after. It was when everyone was leaving outside and the guy approached me.

Everyone seemed happy with it, except him. He looked like a writer or something, maybe he was a reviewer? IDK, it affected some of my experience. :/

And yeah, that's what Mekhi said. Everyone LOL'd

I know! ZOMG NEED MOAR.

YESYESYES TO GWEN MATURING. When Gwen admitted she didn't know what to do, I forgave just about EVERYTHING I disliked about her in the past, because that was what rubbed me the wrong way about her in s1, but here I was like ASDFGHJKL.
