Via the absolutely brilliant @Torchwood4fans!

Last week, a mystery source told @Torchwood4fans:

There will be a large (and shocking) creative production element to Miracle Day that will ONLY be featured in the UK. not on Starz and not on BBC TV. When it happens (or "drops" as we say on the west coast of the USA), you will NOT be able to miss it! ( Read more... )

I'll save my squee until I see him back onscreen.

Then I will squee so loudly I break glasses in the next county.

But I freaking LOVE radio plays. Especially when Kai's involved. Gareth's voice is beautiful, but Kai's is so bloody expressive. He's got the radio voice down. The most recent audiobooks were my favorite, at least as far as reader quality.

Kai's rapidly becoming a man who I'd listen read the phone book. You remember those, right? Big things printed on dead tree with everyone's LAND LINE phone numbers in them? Very retro.

But premature squeeing is my whole life! MY WHOLE LIFE.

I loved the radio plays, have never listened to the audiobooks (although the new ones sound really good!)

Kai is made of awesome. Totally.

Sin Eaters and Ghost Train are the best audiobooks yet. Kai beats GDL for listenability and expressiveness, definitely.

I remember the phone books. I do even remember the phones where you had to put a finger into a hole and then turn the wheel for one number and then the next and so on. If you had a phone, that is, which not many people did have in Eastern Germany. We had to use phone boxes. And for phone calls to Western Germany you needed to go to the post office and had to wait several hours for your connection.

And I agree with Kai's audio books. I met him last year on a very small event, only 50 people, and he was so lovely. I loved him right from the first TW episode I ever saw.

Oh dear. We had this awful turquoise phone that was rotary dial. And every phone I had growing up was corded. We were so ahead of the tech curve because we had 10 foot long cords on ours. Which usually meant that someone had it stretched all the way across the room in the most inconvenient way possible.

Seriously? I thought those were just used for tracking down ghostly apparitions...

I was just thinking I'd listen to him read Meriam-Webster's Dictionary :-)
