An idea that's been bugging me....
In "Silence in the Library" and "Forest of The Dead", Donna meets Lee inside the computer core and marries him. At the end, when they are evacuating everyone, Donna is talking to the Doctor about the possibility that Lee had just been a part of the program. When they are leaving, you see Lee in the background and he tries calling out to Donna, but his stutter stalls him long enough for him to be teleported away without her hearing. What would have happened if he HAD been able to call her name and she HAD heard him? This popped into my mind on a long flight and it's been bugging me since. They really seemed like they could love each other. Kind of curious how it would have affected the rest of the season's story lines.
