Francis had untamable hair that gravity forgot. Billy’s brown eyes sat in similar bone structure. Gideon once wore a brown pinstriped suit.
After his mates, there were strangers at school, at the pubs, clubs, and bars that he hung around. There were their unfamiliar bedroom walls that made him feel like a naughty child. He’d slink home to his mother who never said a word.
It occurred to him that this fixation went too far when he found himself pinned against an alley wall with a tall, sketchy bloke who called himself clever. But that didn’t mean he would stop.
