After last year and a number of complaints we received about the blind claiming we've decided to pair the authors with the artists based on what the artists are interested in. There will be a form for artists to fill in about their preferences regarding genre, pairing, characters etc. during sign ups.

Ok.
It looks like in this comm the complain rate is very high. :-) Good luck with your work!

I can't imagine why there were complaints about blind claiming. You get a summary of a story and you claim off of that, artists get to choose what they work on and I can't see that being a bad thing. I've done art here 2 years running and never ran into any trouble ( ... )

I don't understand this much complains here. I was in many BBs that you run, and complaining about the artist claim? And the header? Weird.
And you have right about that I more often than not pick that kind of summary that I never imagined before.
However I didn't have problem with the matching either till it's not anon. I hate BBs when they don't allow us to be contact with the author.

I'm sorry that you're unhappy with our decision to change the way we pair artists and authors. I hope that you will still consider participating.

Because people have commented that they were unhappy with the blind claim system in previous rounds we've decided to try doing things in a different way. If it doesn't work then we won't do it again in future rounds, but we wanted to take the suggestions we had been given into consideration.

I would like to add, too, that nothing's set in stone as yet; we're just reconsidering the way art is claimed/assigned :)
