Ianto Jones waved a cheerful goodbye to the girl behind the desk as he left Torchwood One for the night. 5:15 - he'd made it out on time for once.
A flicker of white caught his eye, and he glanced across the road. There on the corner was a statue of an angel, hands over its eyes as if it was crying. A young woman was walking past it. The angel looked out of place among the modern buildings, and Ianto was sure it hadn't been there yesterday.
Ianto blinked, and the girl was gone.
Moments later, so was the statue.
