Toshiko looked at him with coy eyes dancing behind her glasses. Owen smiled at Jack like he was ready to attack. Ianto’s fingertips emboldened even in casual touches. Gwen spoke in flirting entendre when the two of them were alone.
CCTV footage showed shadows on walls of bodies twining competitively, shapes crying out silent. It was obvious they’d had each other; this was a mere invitation.
The timestamp was three days after he’d left; footage left for him. A siren song in four part harmony.
They were teasing, beckoning, seducing him.
He’d never admit that he’d been hungry for this.

Jack’s dreams horrify him.
He tries not to think about it much, even though he dreams of curve of Toshiko’s bare thighs brushing with Gwen’s. The feel of Suzie’s shadow on his back. The kiss of a long knife slitting his throat. He tries not to think of a wide leather collar around Ianto’s pale neck. Roses that taste like poisoned strawberry in his mouth. He tries not to think about contract killings he preformed in Prague. Jumping from the tallest building in New New York.
It’s inescapable, what the corners of his mind think up.
He tries. He fails.
