“Jack?” Tosh tried to attract his attention, but he was too engrossed in whatever he was looking at; photos, judging by the size. “Jack?” she repeated, a little louder.
He sighed, put the pictures on his desk, and responded: “Toshiko? You got something for me?”
From his eyes, half-way between happy and sad, Tosh could tell that Jack was still in the past. “It can wait. Could I see the photos?”
“Sure,” he said, smiling, handing some over. “Promise me you won’t laugh at the clothes!”
“You. An old Christmas, here,” she noted, sitting. “Tell me more, Jack?”
“1971, Toshiko…”
