Notes: Plot taken from the second book of the Wheel of Time series (The Great Hunt). I don't think any knowledge of WoT is needed to enjoy the drabble.
As they ran for their lives, Jack stopped atop the hill, looking back at the burning town.
“Martha's in there. I saw her. I have to go back. Now!”.
“What are you on about, Jack? Martha's with the Doctor, safe. You know that. Let's go! There's an army of Judoon coming at us!” Gwen called back to him.
“What if...” Ianto looked down at the alien artifact in his hands. “We have to get this back to the hub, but couldn't we use it now?”
As they stood motionless, Ianto put the horn-shaped object to his lips and blew.
