When Gwen asked about Torchwood's retirement plan, the way her new boss pursed his lips in silence answered her definitively.
Still curious, she later questioned Ianto, who seemed to know as much about records as about the magic of coffee. "Torchwood had a very generous retirement plan," he replied, "but there's no record of anyone having used it. Six years ago the funds were moved into Death and Dismemberment insurance."
He gave her a half-smile, nodded curtly, and left her alone.
Well, considering the day she was hired, she couldn't say she hadn't known what she was getting into.
