Challenge lengths will vary. The simpler the challenge, the shorter I will make the deadline. The more in-depth a challenge is, the longer it will be open. I would say I aim to have maybe about 4-5 challenges open at a time, all due at different times. I would say maybe 1.5 weeks is probably a minimum length of time for a challenge. I at least give one weekend to complete. It's hard to say.

Remember, you don't have to complete EVERY challenge. And not every challenge appeals to everyone. So you can kinda pick and choose what you want to do, when you want to do it, and when you have time to do it. But some people do have more time and I don't want things to go too slow either.

I would say only about 5% of challenges require working with others.

And once your team posts a sig banner making post, you'll see getting one made for you won't require much work or time. Usually a mod will be like, "post a comment with the name you want on your banner and what fandoms/characters you like." Then someone will reply to your comment with a

Random little housekeeping question: I was a member for the first 3 seasons, but since then I've changed my username (formerly mb_jazz_freak87). Is it possible to edit my "member" tag at tvhaven so it says "member: uberniftacular" instead of "member: mb_jazz_freak87" so all my stuff stays together?

First of all, thanks for the comment/feedback. We always read them and consider all feedback carefully. And sorry ahead of time but this will be in a couple comments due to LJ character limits.

When we talk about tvrealm points, there are sort of 3 ways to look at it and I'm not quite sure which you are referring to. So I'll just address them all and explain how we weight points in these 3 different instances.

1. TVRealm as a landcomm point system (internally & compared to other landcomms)
2. Challenge Points
3. Badge Points

1. Unfortunately there is no guidebook to landcomm point systems, and every landcomm weighs their points differently. To me, there really is no right or wrong, so long as that comm is consistent with itself in that they either ALWAYS give a lot of points for their challenges, or they always limit them

3. Badge points. Now the badge system was developed to keep in mind the people who DO need more of a challenge and are working hard and have more time, so we've created this badge system to earn bonus points for those willing to do the extra work
