Dusk was approaching and amazingly Yunho was still walloping down mouth full upon mouth full of food that was still present on the table. The raven haired man had ceased to stop eating himself as he gawked at the man opposite him who seemed to possess an endless pit for a stomach. Jaejoong has spent the entire afternoon preparing for their late lunch enough to feed and satisfy eight people and yet here, Yunho had devoured over half the dishes. Jaejoong was beginning to get very worried the for the man’s health and was currently trying to think up of a way to stop Yunho from stuffing himself anymore before he experience a very bad stomach ache or indigestion that was bound to happen later on.

On the other side of the table, Yunho was oblivious to his poor bulging stomach that was expanding at an alarmingly fast rate like a balloon- only it was fuelled with food and not gas. His stomach was desperately telling Yunho to stop, but his mind otherwise was too consumed with the luxury of delicious food and therefore as a result, he continued to eat. He was unaware of the beauty on the other side shooting him worried glares and the leg that was poised ready to kick out at his shin.

Upon his third mouthful of his new bowl of kimchi fried rice, he unexpectedly felt a sharp pain travelling up his leg and thus yelped out in pain at the painful ache. “Owwww that really hurt! Why’d you do that for Jae-?” Yunho stopped as he met an angry looking Jae and then read the message written on paper held out in front of his face STOP EATING U NITWIT! Yunho was about to protest when he suddenly felt the sickening bile rising up into his throat from food which he did not chew properly. “Oh shit” Yunho muttered and dropped his metal fork and spoon with a loud clatter on the table and slapped both his hands over his mouth, eyes going wide and face turning somewhat green.

Jaejoong looked on helpless as he watch Yunho scrambled from the table and dashed into the bathroom with a kick of the feet to bang shut the door. The raven haired man only sighed in exasperation and ran a hand through his jet black hair, but alas he smiled that someone like his cooking this much to the point of throwing up- from eating too much that is. Pushing his chair back, Jaejoong slowly made his way over to the open window where light gushes of wind was blowing softly on the light baby blue curtains. He closed his tired eyes and breathed in the fresh night breeze as it also came to play with his soft raven locks tickling his pale cheeks slightly.

Boojae, how are faring all on your own? I’m so sorry I’m unable to be there by your side to protect you from the corrupted minds from the people so close to us that we have known all our lives. I promise as soon as I’m strong again, I’ll come back and get you out of this nightmare. If only I have enough courage to face the person we thought was our best friend, our life companion…our own brother.

Jaejoong felt his eyes wet with saddened tears as he thought back of his family. He simply refused to believe that his brother, even more shocking his own father was that type of person capable of such despicable actions. They were one loving and happy family weren’t they? They had everything they ever wanted to keep them content that would last their whole lifetime and even so for the children that came after them. So why go through such drastic measures? What can be gain out of it? Was it greed? Was it hunger for power or was it simply a rivalry competition? Whatever the reason, it was unforgivable. Jaejoong drooped his head and leaned back against the window sill and sighed once again as he gazed up into the darkening sky and watched as the first sign of the early evening stars start to appear.

Back inside another room, Yunho finally emerged from the bathroom after having a battle with his stomach to keep the food inside and not down the toilet bowl. Though he succeeded the fight, it was a very much unpleasant feeling and made a mental not to be a stubborn hog with the food ever again. Proceeding back into the dining area, he stopped dead in this tracks as the raven haired man came into his view. “He’s so beautiful” Yunho whispered under his breath as he let his gaze wonder over the slender figure. Jaejoong was sitting in a natural elegance on the edge of the window, back leaned against the side and head tilted upwards as his large eyes peered up into the night sky with glittering stars reflecting back into the dark murky depths of chocolate brown orbs. What’s more, Jaejoong’s pale skin seemed to emit a hazy white glow against the contrast of the now blackened sky, which only added to the beauty of the man. Despite the site before him was breathtaking, the figure situated at the window seem to give off a depressing aura. Yunho can sense a hidden sadness swirling around the man’s dark orbs and it clenched at Yunho’s heart to see a beautiful creature looking so miserable.

Jaejoong was still lost in his train of thoughts when he felt two strong arms wrap around him startling him from his depressing day dream. Turning around to look at Yunho, he was surprised to see fierce determination and a look of gentle love emanating through his eyes. “Don’t worry Jae, I’m here to protect you. I won’t let anyone lay a single hand on you again”. Jaejoong instantly felt his heart flutter in happiness at those warm and comforting words. The raven haired man nodded and leaned back further into the embrace and was amazed to see how well they fitted like two pieces of a puzzle.

Late that night after Yunho had carried a worn out Jaejoong to bed and tucked him in as he had fallen asleep against Yunho earlier as they sat by the window sill enjoying the view of the shining stars deep into the late hours. He sat there at the head of the bed contemplating how much had changed in two nights after he had met this mysterious Jaejoong in the alleyway. His unfaithful girlfriend was finally out of his life, he hadn’t felt so alive in all these years now that he’d met Jae and said person was a fantastic cook and had awaken his long lost appetite for food.
But most importantly, he had someone now he had come to care for, protect for…to live for.

Yunho continued to sit, knees brought up with both arms resting at the joint and fingers intertwined placed beneath his chin as he stared out into the black nothingness s he delved deeper into the situation. The question at hand here was who, and a sorry ass he will be that had done such a thing to Jaejoong leaving him there bleeding painfully to death and not to mention the fast recovery he made after tending the serious wound and a only few hours of resting. And what was the cause of the sad heartbreaking look he had witnessed just earlier on? And what about his lack of speech? Will he ever regain his voice? It didn’t look like he was born mute otherwise he would’ve shown some knowledge of sign language. So far Jaejoong had only communicate through means of writing messages on pieces of paper and ordinary hand gestures that anyone with common sense can do as a signal to another occupant when silence was needed.

There were just so many questions left unanswered about the raven haired beauty lying beside him that and it was slowly driving him insane and the fact that he was voiceless wasn’t helping much at all either. Not unless he asks him to kindly write down on a nice piece of white paper on the happenings of his life so far? But then again, it seemed insensitive and blunt for such a request. Yunho decided he would rather wait when Jaejoong felt the time was right to tell, but for now, he’ll have to be patient and wait. But Yunho wasn’t one to be patient and wait when his blood was boiling to know immediate answers. Just then another puzzling thought struck his mind. What about the other two clone images of Jaejoong he had encountered early that morning while doing his grocery shopping? One had a light shade of brown hair and the other blonde. Could it be just a flicker of his imagination playing tricks on him or was there more to it? All this thoughts running wild around his head was giving him a very bad migraine.

“Aish! This is so confusing!” Yunho burst out and roughly ruffled up his hair messing it up then it already was. Beside him, Jaejoong whimpered and flinched in his sleep at the sudden outburst causing Yunho to feel guilty. “Nice going idiot” Yunho muttered to himself as he quickly stroked Jaejoong’s head to calm the man down from his restless sleep. He was about to settle down himself when he spotted the bloody clothing discarded by his wardrobe. “Ahh why didn’t I think of that before?” Yunho exclaimed quietly as he made to get off the bed as gently as he could and strode towards the dark bundle. Kneeling down he grimaced at the smell of the coppery blood that the clothes were giving off. Reaching out Yunho rummaged through every pocket he could find something at least or a hint to reveal who Jaejoong was.

His hand finally found something and he quickly closed his fingers around the object and pulled it out. It was a slightly cringed photograph smeared with blood making it quite hard to make out the people he can see standing in the picture and the lack of light was not adding any more help to it either. Getting off the carpeted floor, Yunho made his way back into the bathroom and switched on the light hoping to get a clearer image. Coming over to stand directly beneath the light source, Yunho was shocked to find three Jaejoongs standing side by side looking extremely happy. Behind them rose a grand mansion standing tall and proud. So it wasn’t him going delusional after all, there really were three of them- Jaejoong was a triplet.

Yunho continued to stare at the blood stained photo in his hands taking in as much detail as he could. From what he could tell by simply looking at the photo, Jaejoong belonged to a very wealthy family and a happy one at that the way the three boys smiled out at the camera. Flipping the picture over, Yunho scanned the tainted surface for any new information he can pry on and fortunately there is. Written in neat handwriting, possibly belonging to Jaejoong, Yunho eagerly looked at the names in-scripted on it.

My Beloved brothers: Kim Youngwoong and Kim BooJae.

Yunho stared at the two unfamiliar names and made to memorised them. Youngwoong and BooJae, so these were the two that he kept on seeing that morning, Yunho nodded to himself and then halted.
So wait, if what he saw was real, then that must mean his brothers were here looking for him. They must be close by then. Something else then caught the attention of his eyes as his gaze wondered towards the far corner of the photo where a symbol was printed with the letters “K.B.C” with two golden swirls on either side of a dollar coin positioned beneath the acronym. Somehow the logo looked familiar to Yunho, though can’t remember where he’d seen it, but he knew it was from a long time ago.
Just then he felt a warm hand closed over his arm startling him out of his thoughts. “Jaejoong!” Yunho exclaimed and shivered inside as he was met with a cold gaze.
