Compared to my friends, I'm not much special at all, so.. I've ended up having to stand there and watch while they were in danger a lot of the time.

Yea kid, all the time. I'm a cop back home. Kind of a dangerous line of work, and my buddies on the force get put into real danger every day, and I can't always be there ta help out ya know?

I know this draft stuff is pretty tough. Lemme guess, your buddies got sucked in and you didn't?

All of them. My buddies at the Tokyo Met, Melon-Cop, and all the rest. But thats part of the job.

Are your buddies fighters?

Yeah, I've had to do that quite a bit. Usually 'cause I was hurt pretty badly so I couldn't go along, or my friends were on another planet. It all worked out, though.

Well, they don't go into space all that much, but back then, we really needed to bring some of our friends back to life, and the only way to do it was to go to that planet and wish for 'em to come back!
