Thanksgiving today, Happy Happy if you're celebrating. We had our turkey dinner yesterday at my sister's with the whole family and associated partners. Lovely :) It isn't G's first Canadian Thanksgiving, he was here for it 3 years ago. This will be his first Christmas however. I'm looking forward to it. He's never been that big on Christmas, ever since his mother died he says. And then his first long time partner, Sue, died in a car crash right after Christmas. he and his dad would spend the day together but neither of them were really that festive other than cooking a nice meal. I hope being here and surrounded by family and laughs, it will put the spirit back for him.
Saturday, Mom picked us up and we headed to Costco since I was bringing the dessert. They have very good pies there! So we went to Costco, and the grocery store, spent money, went out to the cemtery since Mom had bought some flowers. Took the car back here overnight then picked up Mom to take her to Sister's for our family turkey dinner.
Today it's been raining cats and dogs, the tail end of a hurricane passing by off coast. We've stayed in and watched tv all day, in between loads of laundry. Ready for another week.
