Canadians have elected a new government, the Liberal party, by a good majority. Some people think a majority government is not a good thing, because they can do whatever they want and the evidence of the recent past with the Conservatives in the same position could back that up. Wow I feel old! I remember that Christmas Day when Justin Trudeau was born. His dad certainly was a charismatic man.

Blair was elected PM at the age of 43 so it's not that unusual. Mostly it makes me feel like a massive underachiever :-)

One of the main Conservative "dirty pool" ad campaigns was poking at Trudeau's age, "He's just not ready" as I said. There was an editorial cartoon yesterday that showed Harper and the leader of one of the other major parties looking beaten, bruised and bandaged saying "Can you imagine what would have happened if he *was* ready?" Sucks to be them!
