(no subject)
This week, Thursday (today) is the new Friday and it's a long weekend for me. Sunday is Canada Day and as we are government, we have Monday off in lieu. Banks as well but i don't know if stores will be closed Monday since most of them are open on Sundays now. They may just close on Sunday. Getting my hair cut and coloured tomorrow afternoon and taking my mom and auntie down to see my other auntie at her cottage on Saturday. Prayers to the travel gods. Last year when we went down, we got a flat tire on the way back. Got help putting the spare on by some friendly locals and just made it into Bridgewater before the tire place closed. Let's hope that doesn't happen again this year. The road into the cottage is a dirt road and we probably ran over a sharp rock coming out.
There's a nice little farmer's market on the way there as well so we always stop for some fresh produce (it's strawberry season!) and some fresh bread that they bake there too. :)))
there's a lot of things going on for Canada day but i don't know if the weather is going to cooperate yet. There's a parade of the various bands and acts from the Royal NS Tattoo on Sunday morning. Can i get myself out of bed and out by then? doubtful but possible if it's a nice day, i just might be able to shift myself.
It's very cool where i sit here now at the office, right across the road from the Metro Centre. This week we're getting random acts practicing outside the building on the mezzanine levels so we get little mini-concerts through the day. Next week at the Parade Square in front of City Hall, also across the street, there will be free concerts from the various acts. Must remember to bring my camera.
