I made this for my friends three year old birthday party a few weeks ago. She bought the train pan from William Sonoma. There was a recipe on there, it was a sour cream vanilla type of cake. I made this cake for my mom today. It's totally not what I thought it would be.  I wanted to try for the first time to make butter cream frosting and I think I did it wrong. I'm guessing two things.
